For example, if I don’t get a face sheet from one of my doctors, I tell them through messaging and they send it right back over to me by taking a picture and attaching the picture of the face sheet into a pMD secure message. We also love the office note and clinical note features; we use those for sharing important information about the patient. pMD is simple and straightforward. pMD has been very reliable over the years. We started using it during the ICD-10 transition, and it has been my way of educating the providers and myself on the new coding system. From the business perspective, it has been a huge success. Providers now have the ability to look into exactly who they’ve seen and when, and they can correlate that exactly with the collections and billings. It’s many times easier than the old paper way, especially since it’s helped us maintain a consistent audit trail. Chances of error have decreased as providers are aware that they’re the only ones putting in their charges, and since they can go online and see exactly which patients they’ve seen and when. In little subtle ways, it has helped us capture our charges and helped us with our flow.
