“Let’s face it, most teenagers much prefer to communicate via text than pick up the phone. With pMD, my athletic trainers and I have been able to effectively communicate with our student-athletes, ensuring we provide the best care possible. Our athletic trainers love it! It makes it easy to gather more information about their athletes sooner, allowing them to get a head start with treatments before they see them. We have seen that those not using pMD end up requiring much more work to get the same results. Our athletes have also been very receptive to it. If they are experiencing pain, for example, they can snap a picture or video of the problem area and we can provide intermediate advice until we can see them in person. This is both reassuring to them and helps us manage the injury so it is not exacerbated. We tried a few different HIPAA-compliant messaging solutions, but found that pMD was the most practical for our practice.”
